CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

I will not waste time, ink and space and address what some commentators have already alluded to in as far as that bizarre incident that happened at the Mavuso Sports Centre.

The SwaziBank 2015 edition is upon us, this year it’s even bigger and better, hence we say Ngiyo Ngiyo. We all know that we have not been playing well since the beginning of the year and some wanna-be experts and commentators have ruled us out of the SwaziBank Cup.

I am not talking about outsiders here, I’m referring to family members, people who claim their blood is black and white. I remember calling for unity in this family but is seems some people are hell-bent on destroying and tearing this family apart; well I’ve got good news for you, your plans will not work with us and if you do not change your ways we will be forced to label you our number one enemy and we know how to deal with such people. For those of you who are loyal members of this family, let’s talk Ngiyo Ngiyo.

HISTORY

We are a team that does not refer to history but we make history but for those of you who might not be aware of our history in this tournament let me bring you up to speed. We played the finals three times in succession, in 2009, 2010 and 2011 winning it twice, we won it in 2009 and we were also able to defend the cup in 2010. In 2011 we lost to Green Mamba.

This year we also want to play in the last hurdle of the tournament, the finals. We know what it takes to do that and yes it is not going to be easy but it can be done.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE

I am now pleading with you, the loyal members of this family to stand up and make a difference for yourself, the team and most importantly your family. Visit the nearest SwaziBank Branch and open either of the following accounts.

INSIKA ACCOUNT
PROMOTION

Insika Account is an investment account that seeks to encourage people to save for the future and for rainy days.
This account is divided into two types; Insika Account and Insika Prime Account.

FANS/SUPPORTERS: A fan or supporter who opens any of these accounts will qualify for a draw to be held every fortnight (two weeks) until the end of the tournament. The prizes are;

First Prize:         E2 000 cash and
                                a VIP ticket for
                                the finals.
Second Prize:     E1 000 cash and
                                a VIP ticket for
                                the finals.
Third Prize:     E500 cash and a
                                VIP ticket for
                                the finals.
I want to believe you all understand how much we need money in this team. Imagine if were to get the E15 000 every fortnight, since we have you, we can.  I know you might have an account with the ‘Bank With A Heart’ already but do your children have one? If not, do it for them.
The SwaziBank Staff is waiting for you to come, they will always be at your service anytime.
Being a bank that also moves with the time, they now have a branch at Gables that operates even on Sundays, yes on Sundays, so on your way to the stadium pass by Gables and open an account. Remember, nobody knows what the future holds so be wise; make hay while the sun shines.

GRAND OPENING

By now you are all aware that we are playing KoNtshingila United on Sunday at the Grand Opening of Ngiyo Ngiyo.  As Mbabane Highlanders Football Club, we would like to congratulate KoNtshingila United for making it to the SwaziBank Cup and for getting a rare opportunity to play Mbabane Highlanders. Such opportunities are seldom seen. We are not going to underestimate the Shiselweni-based side; we will treat them with all the respect they deserve as a football club. We are preparing hard for this all important clash; we know the SwaziBank as a cup of surprises, hence we will steer up the gear in our preparations.

PLAYER’S UPDATE

This is one subject I do not want to talk about really considering the hullabaloo that is going on. All players who are committed to this team are available.
Take care of yourselves and each other.

Point of correction Mr Dlamini, Mbabane Highlanders never played the SwaziBank Cup final in 2011, instead it was Leopard against Rovers where the former won via an extra time strike by Juries Gama. The black bull met Green Mamba in the 2012 final where the correctional services side emerged 3-1 victors. On the issue of players' update, this soccer loving nation deserve to know the truth, and no one else can shed the light except for the PRO, a person who have the official authority to speak for the club. That said, we would also be grateful to hear the team's reaction following the teams poor showing these days. We cannot pretend as if everything is ok whereas the team is crumbling.
