GOLFER NOBUHLE FIGHTS FOR PLACE IN EUROPE

MBABANE – Professional golfer Nobuhle Dlamini is back in Marrakech, Morocco to fight for a place in next year’s Ladies European Tour (LET).


Following mixed fortunes in her first season since turning professional in December last year, the former South Africa’s number one female amateur golfer headed for the big showdown at the Samanah and Al Maaden courses in Marrakech yesterday. The tournament will run until Sunday. At least E212 818.50 is up for grabs in the championship which is the last event of the year.


According to information sourced from the LET website, the top 30 and ties will be offered category 8a membership that will guarantee them starts in the majority of tournaments on the 2015 Ladies European Tour.


Dlamini is currently ranked 120th on the LET Order of Merit with earnings of over E65 000. Her last stop was at the Omega Ladies Masters United Arab Emirates where she finished ranked position 102 out of 108.  The tournament had a purse of over E7 million.
Dlamini made stops in China, Turkey, France, Italy, Germany, Sweden and Spain, among other countries, in her first LET season.
