MBABANE – The patient who had Ebola-like symptoms has died at the Mbabane Government Hospital.
The 66-year-old woman died three days after being admitted to the hospital.

She was initially kept at Ward 18 when she was admitted on Sunday. Her condition was said to be so severe such that she caused panic within the medical staff that she could have contracted Ebola.
The woman was  transferred to the isolation ward because of her sickness. The Ministry of Health stated on Monday night that the patient was not infected with the deadly disease.

After news broke yesterday that the woman had died, the Director of Health Services Dr Vusi Magagula said he had been informed about  the passing away about the patient. “I have been informed about the death, but for now I do not have much to say because I am out of the country,” Magagula said.

According to sources, the patient complained of a severe headache and she also coughed up blood. As a result, she was immediately transferred to the isolation ward for fear of the fact that she could have been suffering from a communicable disease. Attempts to get the family of the deceased or her identity failed last night.

The incident has caused fear among the medical staff at the Mbabane Government Hospital. The patient’s death has forced the staff to wonder whether they are adequately protected from contracting deadly diseases like Ebola.

Firstly may i pass my heartfelt condolences to her family. Ncesini Nkulunkulu longumdvudvuti ngicela anidvudvute ncono.

Swazis, especiall Times of Swaziland likes reporting bad news to the world. They do not even have prove the country has Ebola. They are busy screaming Ebola..Ebola. Mr Editor there's just so much good the country has that is not reported. This woman was probably killed by depression caused by this seclusion. We know your industry is about making money and hurting people than informing them. Niyawubutwa ngalemiphefumulo leniyibulalako.
