NGCULWINI – Three siblings have successfully evicted a man who bought their deceased father’s home at Ngculwini.
In fact, the man has been given 30 days to vacate the home following a ruling by the Ngculwini Inner Council on Saturday.

Sipho Dlamini received the sad news on Saturday at Ngculwini Royal Kraal. Sipho had bought the homestead of the late David Dlamini from Busisiwe Dlamini nee Khumalo, the wife of the deceased. The matter had dragged for over a year and on Saturday the parties involved were summoned for a ruling.

After the inner council had pronounced its ruling that Sipho should vacate the homestead, happiness was written all over the faces of the three siblings who had their homestead sold by their mother. The siblings were challenging the sale of their late father’s home and demanded it back because their father’s grave is within the homestead.

Sipho is said to have bought the homestead at around E400 000 without the knowledge of the three sisters.
All this happened after the death of the siblings’ father who worked for the Swaziland Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (SPTC). The irate siblings, Phetsile, Phephile and Hlobile, together with their aunt, were demanding back their father’s homestead.

On Saturday, the affected parties were again summoned by the Ngculwini Inner Council to finalise the matter. All along, the matter had failed to proceed as the mother of the three had previously failed to show up.
However, on Saturday, Busisiwe was part of the meeting, hence the final decision. Their inner council ordered that  Sipho, who bought the homestead, should vacate it within 30 days. Following the ruling that Sipho must vacate the homestead, the three sisters could hardly contain their excitement. The mother of the children also shook hands with her daughters after the matter before going their separate ways.

When sought for comment after the matter, one of the siblings, Phetsile, confirmed the verdict.
“As you can see my brother, it’s all excitement and we are overcome by joy. All I can say is that this is God’s plan and we give Him all the praise. Tears of joy will be the order of the day, we are so excited about the ruling and to get back what belongs to us,” said an over excited Phetsile.

Handshakes

After the ruling, the family had a brief meeting outside the royal kraal before giving each other hugs and handshakes to emphasise a job well done.  Less could be said about a visibly irritated Sipho after the ruling.
During their struggle to get their father’s homestead back, the siblings wrote a letter to Sipho telling him to vacate their homestead.
Phetsile said it had been a long gruelling battle to get back what belonged to them over the years.
