MBABANE – The Judicial Service Commission (JSC), through its Chairman, the Chief Justice (CJ) Michael Ramodibedi, has appointed Fikile Nhlabatsi as an acting Magistrate up to December 31, 2015.

Through Legal Notice No 102 of 2014, which was gazetted by the CJ it was stated that Nhabatsi’s appointment was backdated to April 1, 2014. Nhlabatsi is currently the Registrar of the High Court and also the secretary of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) following her appointment on June 3, 2014.

Nhlabatsi was made secretary of the JSC after it revoked the appointment of Supreme Court Registrar Lorraine Hlophe, who was the secretary.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 160 of the Constitution Act, 2005 the Judical Service Commission makes the following notice and appoints Fikile Nhlabatsi as Acting Magistrate up to December 31, 2015,” the CJ said.
