MBABANE – Personnel from 4Him Security Services had to put on riot gear following a scuffle with illegal vendorrs at the Mbabane bus Rank.
Mbabane City Council Public Information Officer Gugulethu Hlophe said there were a few security officers who put on the riot gear as a precautionary measure. Hlophe said the officers should be ready for any repercussions following their constant patrols at the bus rank.
“It is a precautionary measure meant to manage the situation at the bus rank. There are just a few security personnel in that gear,” said Hlophe.
She said people should stop the illegal trade because they stood to lose their bags and wares.
Hlophe said the council availed an opportunity to all traders to follow the right channels and not to embark on dubious means. She said there were vendors who were hell-bent on breaking the law and they used all means at their disposal.
She said even non-Swazis were allowed to trade as long as they had authentic residential papers to be in the country. On Tuesday, it was gathered that some illegal traders threatened security personnel deployed at the bus rank. Hlophe said the mandate of the security personnel from 4Him Security Services was to ensure that there was order at the bus rank.

How on earth do you expect them to sell their stuff in Sidwashini and Msunduza , when their customers are at the bus rank, nani ke sukani la niyo sebentela le khashane nelidolobha lakungena lutfo khona.
