KING ZWELITHINI THANKS PRINCESS MANTFOMBI FOR GROOMING ZOLA

ULUNDI – Zulu King, Goodwill Zwelithini has urged the Swazi nation to never let go of their traditions attributing the good heart of his wife Princess Mantfombi to them.


He said this during the i ceremony held at Ondini Royal Palace where umdlunkulu Zola Mafu, who is his sixth wife, will now reside.
In fact, the king thanked all his wives for their unselfish act during the preparations of the wedding which drew over 10 000 attendees including the President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma.


 Other prominent figures who came for the umhlambiso which began at 7pm on Sunday were Inkatha Freedom Party leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi, Provincial Chair of Kwazulu Natal Inkhosi Chiliza and the region’s Premier Senzo Mchunu.


 Also present from Swaziland were members of the royal family Prince’s Solani and Mguciso, head of delegation His Majesty’s Correctional Services Commissioner General Mzuthini Ntshangase and Senate President Gelane Zwane.
The dignitaries braved the chilly weather and sat through the ceremony in which the new bride presented bridal gifts to members of the Zulu Royal Family.


President Zuma also received his gift and he reportedly left shortly thereafter for Pretoria.
 The Zulu King told those attending the event that the wedding was made a reality by the Swazi values that tradition had instilled in his wife Princess Mantfombi.


“Prince Mguciso, please thank their Majesties for Princes Mantfombi who has surprised me with the way she groomed Umdlunkulu Mafu to become a royal wife,” the Zulu King said. He revealed that through the Swazi princess he had had his own experience of the African Renaissance and he commended the Swazi Monarch for raising such a stellar woman.
