WIFE LEFT OUT OF HUSBAND’S MEMORIAL SERVICE
MBABANE – Ncobile Tsela, wife to the deceased Worship Centre Keyboard player, Phumlani Nkonyane, was conspicuously missing at her husband’s memorial service yesterday.
There was not even a representative to speak on behalf of the deceased’s in-laws despite that, according to the programme, they had been allocated a slot.
When the service programme director called for anyone to speak on behalf of the deceased’s in-laws, no one showed up.
The service was held at the Worship Centre Church.
According to Phumlani’s obituary he was married to Ncobile Tsela in 2010 with whom he has a daughter.
He died on April 2, 2014, shortly after the morning service at the church where he was employed as a keyboard player. Present during the service were the deceased’s parents.
Disappointment
Ncobile, when called to explain why she wasn’t at her husband’s memorial service expressed her disappointment about the Worship Centre leadership for having failed to inform her about anything that had to do with the death of her husband. “I was never told anything about any memorial service,” said Tsela sounding not pleased at all.
She wondered how the church could fail to even inform her about the memorial of the father of her three year-old daughter. “Not even a word was sent to my family,” she said.
“I only got to know from friends who called to tell me about an ongoing memorial service for my late husband. What is even sad about all this is that this is the very church that joined us in matrimony when we got married,” she pointed out. Worth noting is that in the obituary Ncobile Tsela is acknowledged as wife to the deceased.
“This is a very difficult time for me and I am so disappointed in the Worship Centre family. I see nothing Christ-like in the way the way they treated and sidelined me and my family in all this.
“The only communication we got is that we should avail ourselves at the Nkonyane homestead tomorrow morning (this morning) for talks. Nothing was ever communicated about any memorial service,” said Ncobile.
Family
She said had she been told about her husband’s memorial service she would have had no problem attending and a family representative would have showed up.
Ncobile said her husband was employed at the church since 2003 until he met his death early this month.
Pastor Justice Dlamini was once involved in a much publicised war of words with Ncobile over the deceased who is said to have left his wife and children to stay with the man of the cloth.

Lord, hear our prayers and help all those people affected just to enrich one selfish family business in pretence of your name.
