MBABANE – The killed taxi driver has been identified as Thabo Mavuso (25) and had been on the job for a month.

This was revealed by his half-brother Jabulani Khumalo and the owner of the taxi Vusi Maseko. However, Maseko could hardly speak as he was still traumatised by the incident.
“Mavuso had just been paid once in his job. I was also shocked by the incident. He was an honest man and I had never heard about any bad behaviour from him. The incident has left me shocked,” Maseko said.
He said the vehicle was a grey import sedan trading under the name ‘Uncle’.

“The other gashing wound was discovered in his chest while the other was in his neck. It is obvious that the intention was to kill my brother. He was soaked in blood at the time he was discovered. The traumatic incident will always leave a mark in our hearts,” his half-brother said.
Khumalo said his younger brother used to sell airtime at the Mbabane Bus Rank before he was hired as a taximan.
