MPISI FARM – Inkhosatana Sikhanyiso has called upon all Swazi maidens to keep their virginity until marriage and warned men to stay away from Imbali.

The vision bearer of Imbali Foundation, which distributed free toiletry hampers worth E1.6 million to about 55 000 maidens, said virginity should be the pride of Swazi maidens.

“It is very important to remain virgins until marriage as dictated by the Bible, which clearly states that all girls should not engage in sexual activities before getting married to their eventual husbands,” said the senior princess during a press briefing held shortly after the reed cutting yesterday afternoon.

The Inkhosatana said one of the main purposes of hosting the Umhlanga ceremony was to encourage maidens to remain virgins until marriage.
She noted that through the help of the Imbali Foundation, they ought to visit different parts of the country to preach the gospel of virginity and promote responsible behaviour.

“Virgins are associated with success and are honoured for being pure in every society. This also provides that same reason why Jesus was born by a virgin. I have also observed that generally, women who remain pure until the right time comes normally succeed, which attests to that indeed good behaviour is a catalyst of success,” noted the princess.
