KANGCAMPHALALA – Chief Mshikashika Ngcamphalala has referred to a political party as devils who aspired to stop elections in the area.

Speaking when welcoming residents in the area on Sunday during nominations, the Chief said he was pleased that community members have defied the call to boycott the elections. Sources in the area said pamphlets bearing the name of the Communist Party of Swaziland (CPS) were littered in the area calling on people to boycott the elections. Police are said to have hurriedly collected the pamphlets.

“By coming in considerable numbers is a sign that you have defied the call to boycott the elections,” Chief Mshikashika said. He expressed hope that the people had made up their minds on the rightful candidates they wanted to nominate, urging the residents to nominate wisely.
“As His Majesty said you should not vote for someone based on the food and booze that they buy you but you should vote for them based on their capabilities,” the Chief said.

He warned that if they vote for someone based on bribes, they are bound to regret it in the end.
The Chief expressed concern that the KaNgcamphalala chiefdom had the largest number of residents.
