Nothando 30yrs younger than Isaiah Ntshangase
MBABANE – Age ain’t nothin’ but a number.
This maxim holds true for Imbali Leader Nothando Nhlengetfwa and her fiancé, Isaiah Ntshangase, the Commissioner of the Correctional Services.
Nhlengetfwa, as reflected in documents in the possession of this newspaper, is 30 years junior than Ntshangase, who is also her boss at work.
The Commissioner, who hails from Mkhwakhweni in the Shiselweni Region, under the newly-installed Chief Masiphula II, was born in January 1, 1956 while it was in August 19, 1986 when the Indvuna of Imbali ‘landed’ on the planet called Earth.
Acting Ludzidzini Governor Timothy Velabo Mthethwa, in an interview last week, emphasised that love has no age-limit.
The 86-year old Mthethwa, the first Swazi to occupy the position of Police Commissioner, said the age difference had no meaning when two adults were deeply in love.
"A man is never too old to love and marry the woman closer to his heart," he stressed. "Even to females, they are at liberty to marry the man they love irrespective of the age difference (lentfo yekutsi indvodza yindzala kanganani ayisebenti. Indvodza yindvodza nje ngci)."
The acting traditional prime minister clarified that the issue of age was only meant to prohibit young men from marrying old women (akukavumeleki kutsi lijaha litsatse salukati ngoba umfati uguga kucala akushiye).
Efforts to get a comment from both Ntshangase and Nhlengetfwa drew a blank as their cellphones rang without being answered for the better part of last week.

MBABANE – "Just leave them alone," sternly warned acting Ludzidzini Governor, Timothy Velabo Mthethwa.
In an interview, Mthethwa said there was nothing sinister with the Imbali leader marrying a man who is 30 years her senior.
He said Isaiah Ntshangase, the Commissioner of the Correctional Services, should be proud that he had found ‘sincanakazana’ (a young beautiful girl) in Nothando Nhlengetfwa.
"Kantsi sekwaba yini sincanakazana," Mthethwa, who is widely referred to as T.V, wondered. The former Police Commissioner said people who were clueless about Swazi culture should keep quiet instead of poking their noses into the affairs of a madly-in-love couple.
Mthethwa added that Ntshangase had proved to be a true gentleman by marrying a young beautiful girl instead of another man’s wife.

This is what we call Age-Desperate sex or inter-generational sex. How do you expect this girl to negotiate for safer sex, for HIV testing etc from this man? What about sexual satisfaction especially because that is seen as the major cause of this infidelity in Swaziland. Ngumhlolo lona. The police chief will be too fragile to satisfactorily perform some of the social services he is expected to with this young lady who will then be forced kutsi aphumele ngephandle.
