WHY PM POSTPONED HOSEA VISIT
MBABANE –The Prime Minister (PM), Russell Dlamini, postponed his visit to Hosea Inkhundla, because the King has summoned libutfo to Ludzidzini Royal Residence today.
Contrary to reports circulating on social media that the postponement had to do with the recent sentencing of former Hosea MP Mduduzi Mabuza, who was sentenced to 25 years on suppression of terrorism related offences, Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo has since clarified. Dlamini was scheduled to visit the Hosea Inkhundla today, but Nxumalo said the PM would be going to Ludzidzini Royal Residence where the King has summoned libutfo. “I thought you and all and sundry are aware that His Majesty the King has summoned libutfo tomorrow (today). So, therefore, His Excellency the Prime Minister will be responding to that call tomorrow (today),” he said.
Meanwhile, former Indvuna Yenkhundla at Hosea Richard Vilane said they were disappointed by the sentences of their former MP, who was sentenced to 25 years in jail, together with former Ngwempisi MP Mthandeni Dube, who was sentenced to 18 years on similar offences. However, Vilane said they were not alarmed by the sentences as it was something they had expected. He called upon emaSwati, especially Hosea residents, not to react in anger but to calm down and plan a way forward.
