BETHANY - Members of the Nazareth Church are eagerly waiting for the arrival of their leader; Unyazi Lwezulu in Eswatini this morning.

The leader, who will be setting his foot for the first time in the country, since he assumed the leadership position, will be in Eswatini for a two-week festival, which will be held at Esabelweni at Mahlanya. He is expected to arrive through the Lavumisa Border Gate at around 10am. In an interview yesterday, Umshumayeli Makhehleni Dlamini, who is coordinating the event, said they were done with preparations. “All we are waiting for is the arrival of our leader. We will be welcoming him at Lavumisa Border Gate this morning,” said Dlamini, while observing progress at the church headquarters at Esabelweni at Mahlanya.

When the place was visited yesterday morning, some members had already pitched their camping tents. Some members were working on the huts and a few houses, while others were still pitching some marquees. Some government trucks were seen delivering mobile toilets. Security guards from Guard Alert were already deployed at the main entrance.  Also, a network system was put in place. Some local residents were hired to pitch the tents. Everyone within the vicinity was bare foot in adherence of the principles of the church. Dlamini also shared that Unyazi Lwezulu would go straight to the headquarters upon arrival in the country. This, he said, was because he did not sleep in hotels.

It was also gathered that nothing had changed with regard to Zulu King Misuzulu KaZwelithini, who is also expected to be part of the festival. The event will attract a large crowd from South Africa, Eswatini and neighbouring countries. Some of the excited members shared that the festival was of great significance to them as a lot of helpful activities, such as prayer, healing, engagement and marriages would take place and be officiated by their leader during the course of the event.
