TIGHT SCHEDULE FOR KING ABROAD

SIKHUPHE – His Majesty King Mswati III, who jetted out of the country yesterday, has a packed two weeks.

This is because the King, who is accompanied by Inkhosikati LaMashwama, will visit four States in the next two weeks. The King left the country yesterday at around 1:40pm through King Mswati III International Airport and according to the Principal Secretary (PS) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Newman Ntshangase, his first stop will be at Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, where he is expected to meet the Ruler of the State, Sheik Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This would happen between today and Thursday.

Visit

Thereafter, on Thursday, the King is expected to go to the Republic of China (Taiwan) for a State visit. In Taiwan, the King is expected to spend about four days as he will be there until Tuesday October 25, 2022. After that, according to the PS, the King will go back to the United Arab Emirates, but this time to Dubai, where he is expected to meet the Ruler, Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Marktoum and businesspeople. He said the King would spend about two days in Dubai as he would leave on Thursday October 27, 2022 for South Africa.

Coronation

In South Africa, he said the King would join guests who will attend the official coronation of the King of the Zulu Nation, King Misuzulu-KaZwelithini, which would be held at Moses Mabida Stadium on Saturday October 29, 2022. He said the King was expected to return to the country on Monday October 31, 2022. The delegation of the King included the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Affairs, Thuli Dladla, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo, Minister of Finance Neal Rijkenberg and Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Prince Lonkhokhela, among others.

On the other hand, some of those who went to King Mswati III International Airport to bid farewell to the King, included Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala, Minister of Public Works and Transport Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe and Minister of Agriculture Jabulani Mabuza. Others were Minister of Public Service Mabulala Maseko, Minister of Labour and Social Security Phila Buthelezi, Minister of Education and Training Lady Mabuza, Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi and Senate President Lindiwe Dlamini. There were also businesspeople such as African Alliance Partner S’thofeni Ginindza and some of the newly-appointed chiefs, who were blessed by the King last week and they included Mahlalini (Shiselweni II) Chief Colani Sibandze, to mention a few.
