CIVIL SERVANT DIES IN MALAGWANE ACCIDENT

MBABANE – A civil servant died in a nasty road accident at the notorious Malagwane Hill.

The accident took place yesterday afternoon when a truck ferrying coal crashed into a government owned double cab vehicle. The accident took place just below Kapola Guesthouse, down the Malagwane Hill. The vehicle was trapped under the truck in the drainage next to the road. The truck had a foreign registration.

It was gathered that the vehicle had three occupants, including the male driver, who unfortunately died on the spot. The two other occupants were rushed to hospital, together with the truck driver. By the time this publication arrived at the scene, the police and emergency rescue personnel were still trying to retrieve the trapped driver of the vehicle. Chief Police Information and Communications Officer Superintendent Phindile Vilakati confirmed the accident, stating that only the driver of the vehicle was confirmed dead.
