WOMAN STABBED 13 TIMES BY EX-LOVER

MBABANE – A woman (24) of Mvutshini is lucky to be alive after she was stabbed 13 times by her ex-boyfriend.

The incident happened on Monday evening at Mvutshini. According to the woman, she had just arrived at her rented flat when her ex-boyfriend began banging the window. She said when she questioned him about this, he said he was fixing the window which he had previously broke. “I then decided to call the police and alert them that I was being harassed in my house. When I dropped the call, he forced his way into the house and took a knife, which was by the sink, and stabbed me several times in the back,” she said.

She mentioned that she was saved by the police officers who arrived and took her to the hospital. She further mentioned that the doctor had revealed to her that she had been stabbed 13 times and had lost a lot of  blood. She said this was not the first time her ex-boyfriend had harassed her and as a result, she had served him with a restraining order, which he allegedly defied a number of times. She said she had reported him several times to the police but they only warned him to stop. Deputy Police Information Communications Officer   Inspector Nosipho Mnguni confirmed the incident. She said no arrest had been made but the police were working on the case.
