SIHLONGONYANE SUSPECTS FAMILY MEMBER INVOLVED
SITEKI – Detective Senior Superintendent Clement Sihlongonyane, believes a family member could be involved in the threatening messages he was receiving.
He said he had some disagreements with certain family members. He believes one of the family members may have shared certain untrue information on social media and somehow linked it to his (Clement) involvement in the arrest of Hosea Member of Parliament (MP) Mduduzi Bacede Mabuza and Ngwempisi MP Mthandeni Dube.
Random patrols at cop’s home
GAMULA – Police patrols will now be a constant feature at the home of detective Senior Superintendent Clement Sihlongonyane. Sihlongonyane confirmed that police would continue to conduct random patrols during the day and night around his home.
“I am a man with a herd of cattle as I enjoy keeping livestock. I have a family and they are not part of this madness taking place but now they are subjected to harm as they are part of my life,” he said.
Calling
Sihlongonyane added that he joined the police force because it was a calling not because he was looking for a job. He said he would continue to serve and be loyal to what he was mandated to do as a police officer until he retired. “To be honest, I cannot lie that I will now resign due to what has happened. No. That won’t happen. I will continue to work to serve the government, the King and the Queen Mother,” he said.
