24 NEW COVID-19 CASES, 27 RECOVERIES

MBABANE – The country recorded 24 new COVID-19 cases and 27 recoveries yesterday.  
The cases were confirmed by the Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi.


The total number of cases in the country is 5 128.  
Hhohho Region had the highest cases as it recorded 10, followed by Lubombo with six while Shiselweni and Manzini regions had four cases each.


From the confirmed cases, one had a severe disease; two presented with a moderate disease, 15 had mild symptoms while six cases were asymptomatic. The youngest cases were six in the 10 to 19 age bracket while the eldest were three in the 60 to 69 years group.
The total number of recoveries in the country is 4 401 after the 27 that were recorded yesterday.


This means that current active cases are 626. There is a difference of 3 775 between active cases and recoveries in favour of the latter.  There were no deaths that were recorded yesterday as the tally still stands at 101.
