65 NEW CASES, 126 RECOVERIES

MBABANE – The country has recorded 65 new cases of COVID-19 in the past two days.

This was confirmed by the Health Minister, Lizzie Nkosi, in statements released on Sunday and yesterday.

On Sunday, new cases were 34 and yesterday there were 31. This means that there are 4 884 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country.  

From the cases confirmed on both days, 34 were from the Manzini Region, Hhohho and Lubombo had 12 cases each while Shiselweni Region had seven cases. For both days, asymptomatic cases were 25 while those who presented with a mild disease were 33 and seven were moderate. 

On both days the eldest case was one in the 80 years and above bracket while the youngest cases were four in the zero to nine years age group. There were also 126 new recoveries in total on both days bringing the tally to 4 029. Also, there were no deaths that were reported on both days. The number of active cases is 761 while deaths are 94. As it stands, there are 3 268 more recoveries than positive cases.
