LOBAMBA –  Bayethe! This is what some of the people had to say, after His Majesty King Mswati III delivered his 11th Parliament opening speech.
“King accurate on conducive environment” - Governor

Central Bank Governor Majozi Sithole said His Majesty’s directives for the nation to build a conducive environment to attract foreign direct investments were accurate and would help improve the country’s ease of doing business profile.

Sithole said the King’s pronouncement on the country’s need to generate electricity and not to rely on neighbouring countries was also relevant in that any development should take into account the country’s ability to be self-sustainable in energy production.

“Foreign direct investment is hinged on the country’s capacity to produce sustainable electricity. We really need to build a conducive environment to attract investment.”

Sithole also commended the King for speaking about peace and the circle of trust, saying it is essential for the country to concentrate on aspects that contribute to development.

“I was also happy to hear him say the elderly and the Free Primary Education would continue to be well looked after,” he said.
Meanwhile, the King said: “On investment, Eswatini has created Special Economic Zones to leverage our export-potential through attracting export oriented manufacturing projects.

‘‘We must ensure that we maintain our good business ranking and actually aim for even better as we build investor confidence for our kingdom.

‘‘Investors must find the ease of doing business with us a practical experience with all our systems and procedures in place.
‘‘What we promise must be what we deliver,” the King said.
