MBABANE - The UNESWA student who was run over by a Casspir has had a two-bedroom house built for her.
The moment came with tears and joy to the University of Eswatini (UNESWA) student, Ayanda Mkhabela, when she received the house at Mpolonjeni yesterday.

The event that was graced by the presence of Dr. Absalom Themba Dlamini, saw over 500 well wishers witnessing the handover.
The fully furnitured house was built by members of the God’s Glory Ministries (GGM) which is situated at Sidwashini.
According to the project manager of the whole construction of the house, Pastor Siyabonga Vilakati, it cost E650 000 to build the structure alone and another E80 000 to buy the furniture.

Donate

He went on to state that there were companies that came to the party to donate other equipment including floor tiles that were donated by First World Material and a fitted kitchen with wardrobes by Wood Master. Vilakati said the rest of the money used to build the house was from the church members.
Furniture in the house include a fridge, fitted bathroom set, two beds, a washing machine, flat screen TV, TV stand and couches all said to have been bought by the members of the church.

Director of Social Welfare in the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office Moses Dlamini, who was representing the DPM, said his office was pleased with the way the church was concerned about the welfare of emaSwati.
“We are pleased to see churches stepping up to help needy people in the country,” he said.

Worth noting is that the student was not the first to receive such a gift from members of the same church as there were two others who benefitted before.
Founder of GGM, Pastor Victor Macdonald, encouraged the soon-to-be graduate to use God as her source of strength.
He went on to tell her to be grateful to God for her life and that everything she was, was part of God’s will.

Macdonald was straight to say it was his wish that pastors and prophets of the country could come together to do more of such in future.

Change

“I wish my fellow brothers who are pastors, prophets, deacons and all other leaders that we could come together and change people’s lives,” he said.
Dr Absalom Dlamini, who was a keynote speaker, congratulated Ayanda for the blessing she was receiving, adding that he hoped she was going to find it as a place to pray, relax and find peace.
