MANZINI – The deceased Eswatini Water and Agricultural Development Enterprise (ESWADE) Manager is Mangetse Dlamini.
Dlamini was the Executive Social Services Manager.

He died in a horrific road accident on Tuesday afternoon, minutes after cutting the sod for new ESWADE offices at Ndzevane under Nkilongo Constituency, in the Lubombo Region.

It is said leading to his demise; Dlamini had been in a jovial mood as he had spear headed the securing of the land for ESWADE. The parastatal’s CEO, Sam Sithole, said Dlamini had been responsible for strengthening the relations of ESWADE and traditional authorities – which had resulted in them securing the piece of land.

Deceased

Sithole said Dlamini had been with ESWADE for five years and next year August would have been the end of his second contract with the entity.
He said Dlamini had also assisted with formulating contracts for tenders while also assisting supervisors to monitor the contracts. Sithole said the accident that claimed Dlamini’s life happened at a blind rise whereby the truck was overtaking a Ford Bantam.

However, while overtaking the Bantam, Dlamini’s vehicle was at the peak of the blind rise resulting in the truck hitting it head-on.
This resulted in the truck dragging the Isuzu driven by Dlamini for about 100 metres before both vehicles overturned.

Efforts to get comments from the deceased’s family proved futile as one of the people whom this reporter had been referred to said she was not the rightful person to engage on the demise of her brother. It was gathered that Dlamini had spent a better part of his life in the United States of America where he also had a son, while locally he is survived by two children. He was said to have returned to the country around 2010.
As if he knew that it was his last day, Dlamini had posted a spiritual message on his Facebook account. The message read: “I would never get tired of saying thank you God because He never gets tired of waking me up each day.”
