MBABANE – His Majesty King Mswati III has appointed a true leader in the new Prime Minister, Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini.
This was the observation of Chairman of the MTN Eswatini Board of Directors David Dlamini soon after the former’s appointment at the Ludzidzini National Cattle Byre.

“We wish him all the best and we will continue to pray for him to execute his new task well,” Dlamini said.
He said what he learnt about the new premier, from their working relationship at the mobile phone company, was that he has all the qualities needed in a leader.
“He has his own ideas as an individual that could take an organisation forward. In short, one would safely say that His Majesty has appointed a true leader who will be relevant to the task,” he said.

The towering new premier emerged from a list of other speculated candidates for the position which gained momentum in the past four days when the King commissioned a three-day People’s Parliament.

The idea behind the People’s Parliament was to give emaSwati a rare opportunity of assisting the appointing authority on the calibre of the next prime minister of the country.

The submissions made at Sibaya during the People’s Parliament, speaker after speaker, stressed on the need for a candidate who would be God-fearing and receptive to advice from the people.

The speakers said the next PM should be one who would trigger a massive economic recovery strategy.
And when his Majesty King Mswati III announced that the 10th premier would be Mandvulo, it appeared that all the boxes were ticked given the warm reception the pronouncement received from the about 3 000 eagerly awaiting emaSwati.

He was quickly pulled out from the crowd of people who were listening to the King as he delivered his speech by senior police officer William Dlamini  and ushered towards the upper front of the cattle byre, about five metres from where His Majesty King Mswati III was seated.

…He has Biblical calling
Appointed Senator Themba Nhlanganiso Masuku has described the newly-appointed Prime Minister Ambrose Dlamini in the same breath as the Biblical Nehemiah.

The latter was the Jewish leader who bravely heeded God’s call to return from exile in Babylon to Jerusalem to rebuild the fallen walls of the glorious city.
Masuku likened Dlamini’s calling in his task to that of Nehemiah and said for him personally, it was the fulfillment of his wish he made at Sibaya for God to guide His Majesty towards an individual who would emulate Nehemiah.

“His appointment has been truly sanctioned from above. The King has done it for the country and ours is to support him fulfill his mandate,” he said.
He said the new PM was an independent thinker who is familiar with all emaSwati. He said what set him apart was that he was not selfish.

“Just like Nehemiah, he faces a mammoth task of reviving the economy and that is why when I presented yesterday, my prayer was for God to assist the King to appoint a Nehemiah-like leader. Just like Nehemiah, the new premier needs every stakeholder to form a shield around him to execute his duties without fear, free from lurking enemies,” he said.

Pigg’s Peak MP Jabulani ‘Buy Cash’ Mabuza said when the lion had roared, it was incumbent for every liSwati to rally behind the new prime minister.
“We hail the King for honouring the finger of God on the next PM. We need to work together with the new candidate to achieve the country’s goal of recovering the economy.”

He said Dlamini was a relevant candidate for the task at hand and that he has all the qualities that the nation wanted from the next PM. He said to cap it all, he was God fearing and would get all the support.
