MANZINI – There was a minor scare during the special voting exercise yesterday when Hlobisile Ndlovu was seen sitting in an ambulance yesterday.

Ndlovu is contesting for the Member of Parliament (MP) position under Pigg’s Peak. This was at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre where dozens of people witnessed the Pigg’s Peak nominee receiving first aid treatment from paramedics in the ambulance.

After the incident, people had different versions of what happened to Ndlovu as some claimed that she had collapsed while others said she tripped and fell. Others were of the view that supernatural forces were at play while some claimed it was fatigue.

The incident happened about five metres from the entrance of the Manzini Region voting hall, at around lunchtime.
In an interview, Ndlovu clarified that she neither collapsed nor tripped. She said she experienced chest pains and needed medical assistance.
She laughed off the allegations that she collapsed and stated that they were not true.

She said after experiencing the chest pains, she walked to the ambulance for assistance.
“I did not collapse, I only went to an ambulance and nothing dramatic happened,” Ndlovu clarified.
She narrated that the paramedics gave her tablets and water then she proceeded to her intended destination. She stated that she was feeling fine and people might have thought she collapsed because her hands were on her chest. She referred to the chest pains as an attack.
