PHUZUMOYA – Ndumiso Mamba, the former Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, advised his business partners to invest in the construction of a referral hospital.
He decried the fact that patients with complex health conditions were being sent to South Africa at an extremely high cost to the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Mamba is of the opinion that the advent of health centre operators from South Africa had not helped because the cost had risen even higher while the quality of the service had dropped.
According to minutes of a meeting held at DUPS Mall Conference Room on April 18, 2016, the former managing director said the building of the hospital was very crucial.
Those who attended the meeting were, among others, Mvuselelo Fakudze, who was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers then and Phillip De Sousa, the Executive Director of DUPS Group.
Another businessman who attended the meeting was Craig Alexander who represented various Israel business interests.

Mamba went on to say that the setting up of a local referral hospital would significantly improve the living standards. He pointed to the fact that the project would save the country a lot of money.
He also complained about the high cost of communication. He said the communication service was erratic, a situation that compromised the possibility of attracting more international investors.
He also talked about the improvement of the energy sector as it would greatly improve the economy in line with His Majesty’s long-standing wish.

Pertaining to agriculture, he said this sector remained the backbone and preoccupation of a majority of emaSwati. He said agriculture was far from reaching its potential as most of the applied methods were still backwards. As a result, he said, the yields were low.

Mamba said the country needed to incorporate technology and modern farming systems to see agriculture contributing more to the economy.
He felt the areas of investment he mentioned above would uplift the country and make it an investment destination of choice.
He joined DUPS Group as a director in February 2016, documents reveal. On another note, Alexander, who represented the Israel business interests, declared his willingness and commitment to offer quality assistance as possible and strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
