MASEYISINI – It never rains but pours for a youthful pastor who has been a victim of suspected arsonists for the seventh time in a row.

His homestead at Maseyisini has been targeted by the suspected arsonists since 2009 and the last reported incidence was one which occurred early in February, before the culprits allegedly returned again on Monday night.

Although no injuries were reported during the overnight attack, clothes and other property belonging to United Apostolic Faith Church pastor Lucky Mailwel (32) were destroyed by the fire.

The man of the cloth believes his property was deliberately set alight.
Even though he remains unclear about the motive behind the continued acts of violence, Mailwel believes this could be related to a protracted dispute over the homestead.

He said most of his family members decided to vacate the place immediately after the fifth attack, which took place towards the end of 2014.
He also joined the rest of the family and sought refuge somewhere around Sithobelweni, before he came back again around January.
It was shortly after he had returned home that the alleged arsonists attacked again early in February.

Mailwel continued staying at the place until another house was gutted again on Monday night.
