NUDE MALE FAN INVADES PITCH

NHLANGANO – Soccer fans often go to varied lengths to celebrate their teams’ triumphs, but there is this particular fellow who might have taken things a bit too far last Sunday.

Soccer lovers were treated to a rare spectacle at the King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium last Sunday afternoon when an overly-excited soccer fanatic allegedly took off his clothes and ran the full length of the pitch, apparently to celebrate a goal.

The weird display of passion took place during a soccer match between Shiselweni football teams Rangers and Movers.
It was at around 4:15 pm when Rangers opened the score sheet, prompting the overly-elated fan to engage in his odd behaviour.
He allegedly stripped down and bared all, before jumping up and down as he made a spring next to the touch line, and off to the far post where a goal minder of the scoring team was also celebrating.

The unashamed exposure by the fan apparently took everyone by surprise, igniting mixed reactions from the stands. While some soccer fanatics buried their faces in the palms of their hands in utter disgust, others cheered him on.

As the fan continued with his wild dash on the sidelines of the pitch, a friend is said to have followed him carrying his clothes, which he later handed over to him once he reached the other goal post area.

The duo then disappeared immediately after the man had put on his clothes again.
The match, however, ended in a 1-all draw after the trailing team scored as well moments before full time.
It could not be immediately ascertained if the particular fan had been known for such eccentricities, but interviewed people believe he may have done it simply to grab the spotlight.
