TIMPHISINI – A game of ‘touch’ ended badly for children when one of them was snatched by a man wearing a balaclava.

Touch is a common game that children play in groups. The incident happened at an area known as Msahweni near Matsamo where the five-year-old was playing near his home. This is said to have happened on Monday at around 4pm.

Information gathered was that  the man, who was dressed in a black and covering his face, forcefully took the boy and ran away, leaving his friends terrified.

The incident has now left members of the community, especially children, living in fear of being abducted.
According to some of the friends who were playing with the five- year-old Nkhosinaye Dlamini, the man who abducted him had dreadlocks.  The children ran away in fear to report the matter.

Several members of the community then went to the area where the incident had happened to look for the boy but they could not find him.

Lungile Tsabedze, the mother of Nkosinaye narrated the ordeal during an interview at her marital homestead in Msahweni. She recently moved to the homestead with Nkhosinaye as she is now married to another man. Tsabedze said she was still shocked over the incident as she did not understand why the boy was snatched by the unknown man.

“We just hope that wherever he is, he is still alive,” said Tsabedze.
She said the boy was last seen wearing pink clothes.

It is these same clothes that Nkhosinaye was wearing on a photo of him taken by his mother.
Tsabedze further revealed that the five-year-old was a pupil at a local preschool and that on the day he went missing, he had been playing with his friends and their voices could be heard from the homestead.
