MANZINI – A confession by an unknown man has changed how a family would have wanted to raise their child who has albinism.

This, after it came to the five-year-old’s parents’ attention that the minor was seriously wanted by an inyanga who had men monitoring his movements and was keen on snatching him away. The shocking revelation happened last Monday at a location within the Manzini Region.

Narrating the disheartening predicament was the little boy’s mother *Thembi, who said it all happened when she was from work on the fateful day. Thembi said the news was broken to her by her two elder children, aged 12 and 14 years, whose task was to fetch their little brother *Saziwe from a day care within the area when they returned from school.

The minors reportedly told their mother that a stranger had stopped them while on their way home from picking up Saziwe from the day care and told them never to fetch the child ever again because some men were on a mission to steal the little boy. The strange man also allegedly told the two children that he was offered E5 million to steal the child on behalf of the prowlers.

Thembi said she did not think much about what her children had told her but after they mentioned that the stranger had asked to see her as soon as possible, she was bothered by what the stranger, who had allegedly been offered so much money to steal her child, wanted to say to her.

Thembi said she went to see the man at his rented flat the very same evening at around 6pm.  When she got there, she could not believe what she heard. In addition to reaffirming what her children had already told her, Thembi said the man reminded her of a day when he greeted her while she was with Saziwe.

He asked her whether she recalled a black vehicle that was parked behind her on the day and she said although she did not pay much attention to it, she remembered it and that one of the two men on board alighted and followed her.
Further, the stranger also told her that one of the men alighted from the black VW Golf with tinted windows and an antenna and followed the mother and son. The appearance of a police vehicle is said to have saved her son because the man then ran back to the car which then sped off.

As if that was not enough, Thembi said the stranger informed her that there was more than one vehicle on the mission and that reporting to the police or moving from the place she currently resides were not options because the child would be taken away anyway.
