MBABANE – Heads continue to roll in the investigation regarding the murder of businessman Victor Gamedze.

New developments are to the effect that five vehicles will be confiscated from their owners, all of whom are Swazis.
Information gathered is that the vehicles are suspected to have been used in the planning and ultimate murder of Gamedze and therefore further investigations need to be conducted. The owners of the vehicles will not be named as none of them have been charged by the police.

Yesterday, some members of the 10-man investigating team of police officers were spotted at the Mbabane Magistrates Court.
According to reliable sources, the police officers had gone to obtain orders to confiscate the five vehicles from the owners to help in their investigation.
Details surrounding the actual link of the vehicles to the murder could not be immediately ascertained.

These vehicles will be kept at the police station while investigations continue. If any of the cars are found to be containing some form of evidence, it will be used as exhibits when the matter goes for trial.
The three police officers who are conducting the investigation are known but will not be named due to the sensitivity of the matter.
The officers went into the chambers of one of the judicial officers at the courthouse at around midday yesterday to request for an order to confiscate the cars.
Inside the chambers, they spent less than 10 minutes and were seen leaving, carrying a stack of papers.

Some of the court officials were heard speaking in hushed tones, asking each other what kind of paperwork the police were carrying.
Police currently have a silver grey Toyota Yaris and a red VW Polo with South African registration plates in their custody as it is alleged that these vehicles are connected to the murder of Gamedze. It is believed that the two vehicles were used to get away from the crime scene at Ezulwini Galp Filling Station where the businessman was shot dead. This now means there will be a total of seven vehicles being investigated by the police in connection with the murder of Gamedze. The models of the vehicles are for now kept a top secret as the police are playing their cards close to the chest.
