MBABANE – Did the late Victor Gamedze and his wife Lungile have challenges in their marriage?

This questions emanates from a testimony by Lobamba Londzala Member of Parliament Marwick Khumalo, a friend to the deceased Gamedze, as well as cousin to Lungile.

Khumalo explained that the perseverance of Princess Lungile in her marriage has left him in a better position to differentiate between a female and a wife.

When speaking on behalf of the late businessman’s friends during his funeral service, Khumalo recalled two incidences where he had to mediate when the couple had some challenges.

Without going into the merits of the challenges, Khumalo recalled spending almost an hour speaking to Lungile on two separate occasions.

“During those trying times, I searched for Gamedze and he returned home. Lungile, being a real wife, not just a female, remained humble and never boasted about being born from royalty. She never left her husband until the last hour,” Khumalo said.
The politician said from his cousin’s endurance, he concluded that she was a real wife. As a result, Khumalo said he was now in a better position to differentiate between a wife and a female.

During Gamedze’s memorial service, which was held at the Prince of Wales in Mbabane on Saturday, Princess Lungile’s uncle (babelomncane) Prince Thumbumuzi revealed that Gamedze once registered his desire to have a second wife.
