MBABANE – Desperate parents are holding a vigil with the hope of securing spaces for their children at top performing St Theresa’s Primary School.

The parents are looking for spaces in the different grades of the primary school.
St Theresa’s Primary has been the top performing school in the past couple of years in the Swaziland Primary Certificate Examination.
Some parents are willing to go to great lengths to ensure that their children have a promising future at this school.

This was evident when some parents, desperate to have their children admitted to the school, religiously held vigils there with the hope that their minors will be admitted.

Such has not yielded positive results for some parents who have decided to vent their anger in the media.
A parent, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said he had to sleep over at the school in order to be the first in line to be attended to by the head teacher.

However, he said despite his efforts, he did not even get a chance to state his case.
“The head teacher was attending to some people who had made appointments with him and I had to go back empty handed,” lamented the parent.
Attempts to get a comment from St Theresa’s Primary head teacher Dan Dlamini proved futile as his mobile phone rang unanswered.
