MANZINI - Has the Bhunu Mall underground parking lot been turned into a sex den?

This is one question that could to one’s mind after a couple was busted having sexual intercourse inside a car in the mall’s underground parking lot. The incident, which gave members of the public a rare scene, took place towards Christmas last year in the mall, which is situated in the heart of the city of Manzini, which is known as the central business district (CBD). An impeccable source, who witnessed the incident, said the woman was the first to arrive in the parking lot and she was driving a sedan on that evening. He said a few minutes later, the man arrived in an LDV and parked behind the woman’s car which was at a quiet space towards the end of the parking lot. He said the man alighted from his car and got into that of his lover. He said in no time, the couple started kissing and eventually they undressed each other until they were half naked.

The source said their romance ended with sex and the movement of  the car as they engaged in sexual intercourse, attracted the attention of the few onlookers and security guards manning the parking lot. “A security guard jumped to the car and banged one of the windows.” The source said when the security guard approached the car, the couple tried to quickly dress up but the woman was not fast enough and was found while still trying to pull up her pants. The security guard yelled at them to open the car and he ordered them to drive away to find a right place to do what they were doing. He told them that the parking lot was for members of the public and he would not allow them to continue with what they were doing.

“The woman apologised to the security guard and promised that it would never happen again.” Meanwhile the man alighted from the woman’s car, went to his vehicle and drove off. After putting her pants on and fastening her waist belt, the woman started the car engine and also drove away. Meanwhile, Crime Stop Security Operations Manager Tsabile Msibi said they were not aware of the incident as it was not included in the daily reports submitted by the security guards.
However, she acknowledged that before they won the tender to guard the property, they were told about the prevalence of such incidents in the underground parking lot. She said maybe the matter was reported to the police because there was a police post within the mall.
