MHLONGO – Over 70 police officers have had their hard work acknowledged and recognised.
This comes after they were promoted to senior positions.

The promotions, which are in command and other strategic categories of the police service, were announced by the National Commissioner of the Royal Swaziland Police Service Isaac Magagula yesterday.
In total, about 75 officers were promoted to senior positions and these include both male and female.

According to the list, four were promoted from senior assistant commissioner to the position of assistant national commissioner and one of them is Vusi Masuku who was once the spokesperson for the police service.

Another quartet of officers was promoted from the position of assistant commissioner to that of senior assistant commissioner.
Also on the list are eight officers who were promoted from the rank of senior superintendent to the position of assistant commissioner. Confirming the promotions was Chief Police Information and Communications Officer Superintendent Khulani Mamba, who mentioned that they were effective from December 1, 2017.

“The promotions are intended to strengthen administrative and supervisory systems of the police service, especially at the operational level, to ensure that the public receives the best possible service,” Mamba said.
