MBABANE – Forget being a candidate to run for the Local Government Elections (LGE) if you have been nominated by less than 10 people.

This is according to the Coordinator of the LGE Melusi Hlandze, who said people who would be contending for the upcoming elections could not nominate themselves but needed to be suggested by others.
Nominations for the LGE will be held on Friday.

Hlandze said after the register records 10 people, the candidate running for elections in the specific wards could then sign the form to acknowledge the nomination.

He said you could not nominate yourself as a candidate but at least have more than 10 people recommending your name to make your nomination successful.
However, he said people interested to run for the LGE could request to be nominated.
