MBABANE – In the 90s, the Coronation Park was known to be dangerous because of dagga smokers, now there are street children who harass primary school pupils.

Parents of a pupil in one primary school nearby, said they have had enough of their children coming back home crying because their money had been taken from them by the street children who are found loitering at the park.
One Dlamini, who is a father to a Grade IV pupil, said his son came back home a few days before schools closed, alleging he had been assaulted by a street child.

Dlamini says his son was travelling with other children he attends school with and they took a shortcut through the park.
One of the street children then approached the group of pupils and the rest were able to run away, while his son was caught and assaulted before all his transport money was taken from him.
Superintendent Khulani Mamba confirmed the matter.
