EZULWINI – The disgruntlement of post-paid Swazi MTN customers is now a thing of the past as the mobile company has also introduced reduced rates for them.

Post-paid customers also known as ‘contract holders’ had cried foul for being left out after the company had announced earlier this month, reduced prices in calls, data and cheaper SMSes for prepaid customers.

During a media engagement exercise held at Mahlalekhukhwini House, the company’s executives revealed exciting new packages for their post-paid account holders.
One of the major components was that post paid users would now have an extended bundle validity of up to 60 days instead of the current 30.

During the presentation, Thandazile Dlamini, who is Head of the Business Enterprise Unit, said the ongoing price transformation initiative covered all their customers on prepaid and post-paid.
She said the implementation plan on post-paid would entail two phases, with the first seeking to give all their customers immediate value across all their three main packages.

She announced the removal of connection fees on the Business Talk package and reduction of rates on all the three main post-paid packages (My Choice, Business Talk and Anytime Packages).
Dlamini said Phase 2 sought to introduce new plans, offering even more value to post paid customers and this would be done on the last week of July, as the billing of post paid customers usually took place on the 25th of each month.

She announced that the voice tariff has been reduced by an average of 21 per cent while the data tariff has been reduced from E1.14 per MB to 99c per MB. Just like prepaid customers, the SMS tariff would be reduced from 80c to 30c per SMS.
