MANZINI – After finding out that his girlfriend had allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with an administrator of a company subcontracted to Montigny, a supervisor of the latter has been fired for allegedly making death threats.

The former Montigny supervisor *Albert was fired after he was allegedly found with a live round of ammunition in a company house in Bhunya Village, which he allegedly intended to use to kill the administrator of the company subcontracted to Montigny; Gundane & Sons.

Albert was also charged with victimisation, intimidation, threats and menacing behaviour.
This was after he allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend, who was employed by the contractor and was working under his supervision.

The first instance allegedly took place on March 9, 2017 while the other happened on April 1, 2017. On April 10, 2017, Albert was subsequently suspended without pay until May 19, 2017 where he appeared before the company’s disciplinary committee.
He was later served with a notice of dismissal where the company stated that the chairman of the disciplinary committee found him guilty on all counts and recommended a dismissal.

The supervisor is appealing the ruling and has reported the company to the Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration Commission (CMAC) for alleged unfair dismissal and is demanding a sum of E26 000.
In his submissions at CMAC, Albert alleged that the administrator engaged in sexual intercourse with his ex-girlfriend in order for her to be hired.
