AGAINST PM’S HOUSE? WAIT FOR THE NEXT SIBAYA

SIBANE – It is only the People’s Parliament (Sibaya) that has the power to review the Circular that provides for the construction of a retirement home for the Prime Minister Sibusiso Barnabas Dlamini.

Those who are unhappy with the arrangement should wait for the next Sibaya where they would present cows as a sign of apology to His Majesty King Mswati III and request that the Circular be reviewed.
This is because the Circular came about following a resolution that was taken at the same Sibaya following cries by the nation, which were perpetuated by the provisions of the previous Circular.

According to the PM, even elderly people who did not even know the meaning of Circular stood up and made submissions about how it needed to be reviewed so that it could cater for former legislators.
“Ngisho bogogo batsi asimfuni Circular No.2 of 2010 Ngwenyama. There was a lot of noise which was perpetuated by the editors themselves,” the PM said.

Addressing editors during a breakfast meeting yesterday, Dlamini explained that His Majesty engaged external consultants for the review of the previous circular that did not provide much for ministers after listening to the concerns of the people.

“Asatike kutsi sesiphikisa ini ngoba loku nguloku lesakucela,” Dlamini said in vernacular. The PM was responding to a question that was posed by Swaziland Shopping Newspaper Director Martin Dlamini, who wanted to know why Members of Parliament were suddenly making noise about the E5.5 million which has been allocated for the construction of his home.
