NHLANGANO – Princess Inkhosatana Sikhanyiso has laughed off reports suggesting she is pregnant, following her non participation in the Umhlanga Reed Dance ceremony in September last year.

Breaking the silence for the first time over her abstention from the annual cultural main festivities, the princess shutdown the sensational pregnancy rumours that started circulating soon after the annual event.

“Some of you may have been asking themselves why I did not participate in the reed dance, for the first time since I began playing an active role at the age of seven. Let me make it clear; I am not pregnant,” she insisted.
Notably, the princess had no visible baby bump when she addressed the audience during the celebration of Culture Day at Ngwane College, where she was the guest speaker.

Her bold move to squash the claims has also helped put an end to speculation about ‘who could be the father of her baby’.
The elder daughter to His Majesty King Mswati III then seized the opportunity to announce her retirement from her lead role in the Imbali regiment, saying it will be up to the King to appoint her successor.

She acknowledged that the rumours may have been sparked by her sudden disappearance during the activities of the Imbali regiment during Umhlanga.
“No, it’s not the case. The fact that I have taken a back seat made some people to spread rumours. People were asking themselves why; where is she?
