HUSBAND KILLS BARLADY WIFE IN AFFAIR WITH SOLDIER

MANZINI – A barlady died tragically after being stabbed several times allegedly by her husband who accused her of cheating on him.

The suspect, Simanga Marcky Shabangu (31) of Sibayeni, Kwaluseni, was infuriated after his wife received a call from her alleged soldier lover, who posed as a mediator in their issues.

After allegedly committing the offence, the suspect skipped the country to Pongola, South Africa where he stayed until this past weekend when he returned to the kingdom and handed himself over to the police.
The incident took place at Mangwaneni in Mankayane inside the wife’s rented flat in December.

An impeccable source said Shabangu and his wife, Nontsikelelo Precious Zikalala (28), had some problems in their marriage.
He said the weekend before the incident, the couple had a meeting with their families and discussed the issues.
The source said after the meeting, the duo made an appointment to meet at the wife’s house at Mangwaneni where they were supposed to iron out their problems.

Shabangu is said to have honoured the appointment on Tuesday and he went via his wife’s workplace; Mvuleni Bar to fetch the keys to her rented flat.
Meanwhile, the woman was allegedly in a relationship with a member of the Umbutfo Swaziland Defence Force (USDF), is based in one of the royal residences in the country.
