BUSINESSMAN HACKED BY MOZ MAN OVER WOMAN

MANZINI- A businessman was viciously attacked by a Mozambican national while inside his office and hacked with a bush knife several times all over the body, allegedly over a woman.


Information gathered is that the suspect, Tomas Faustino (31), of Mozambique, arrived at the businessman’s offices situated near the University of Swaziland (UNISWA) on Tuesday afternoon and allegedly found him in the company of clients.

“He first called his mobile number and enquired where he was.  the businessman, however, did not inform him of his whereabouts.
“After a while, we saw him waiting near the premises but we did not suspect any foul play,” a well placed source, who preferred not to be named, said.


He added that after realising that the businessman was with clients inside the office, the suspect waited and when they left, he pounced on him and hacked him with the bush knife, ordering him to leave his partner.
“We were all shocked because the person the suspect was talking about is married to the businessman.

“He hacked him in the head, shoulder and other parts of the body several times and we all raised the alarm and called the police. At the time, he was bleeding profusely and blood was splattered all over his offices,” the source added.
When the police arrived at the scene, the businessman was rushed to the Raleigh Fitkin Memorial (RFM) Hospital where he was admitted and stitched by medical doctors as he had gaping wounds, especially on the head.


Meanwhile, the suspect, who tried escaping from the incident- scene, was eventually chased after and apprehended by Manzini Police Officers under the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), who had been around the vicinity.
