MANZINI – Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries known as Liberation City, has appointed well-known Senior Journalist Charles Matsebula as its official representative in Swaziland.

Liberation City is a church based in Nigeria under the leadership of Chris Okafor, famously known as the ‘Supreme Prophet’.
The ‘Supreme Prophet’, who allegedly brought a dead baby back to life in his church in Nigeria is coming to Swaziland for a three-day crusade, from October 21 to 23, 2016 at the Old Trade Fair in Manzini.

In letters written to Minister of Home Affairs Princess Tsandzile and President of the Conference of Churches Bishop Stephen Masilela, the church says it writes to introduce the ‘Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries (also known as Liberation City) under the leadership of Chris Okafor to the relevant stakeholders in Swaziland.
“Liberation City has appointment Mr Charles Matsebula to be the Coordinator and Chief Organiser of the crusade in the country,” continues the letter.

Matsebula confirmed the appointment and said he was very honoured to be recognised by such a highly esteemed Man of God. “This is not an easy job. I know that it will come with a lot of challenges but anything is possible with God. So, by the grace of God, the crusade will be successful,” said the man who, for years, wore his hair in dreadlocks. He now sports a new and neater look.
Matsebula further clarified that he had not been appointed a pastor but just an organiser of the crusade.

“Liberation City will be sending pastors from next week, to be part of the preparations and we are also finalising a local organising committee which will be responsible for this job,” he continued.
Those interested in being part of the organising committee can contact him on 7603 7635, before end of this week.
Matsebula says many Swazis follow the works of Okafor and who have already received miracles from him.

“You will be surprised to learn how many people have been following this church even though there is no branch in the country yet.”
Taking it a step further and showing how serious and committed Matsebula is to his new calling, he has since removed his dreadlocks which he has groomed for almost 18 years.
When asked about the change Matsebula said he never thought or imagined himself without his dreadlocks but from the first day he set his eyes on the ‘Supreme Prophet’, a voice has been talking to him, telling him he should remove the dreadlocks.
“For a whole year, this voice has been troubling me. I could hear the voice saying, remove this thing because someone wants to use you now,” he continued.

“Then last month, I met Papa (Dr Okafor) again in Johannesburg and the moment he put his hands on me, praying for me, I just felt different. He told me he wanted me to organise the Swaziland crusade and he said I should start right away.”
Matsebula said no one told him to remove the dreadlocks but as he started doing God’s work, he knew he had to clean up.  When asked whether he will no longer be a journalist or a football administrator, Matsebula said. “If God wants to use me to do his work I am free. I am here. I am prepared to work for Him. Jesus was a carpenter when the calling came, John was a fisherman. No one dropped from the skies to do God’s work but God took people who were already in this world. We have seen that happening in Swaziland. I do not need to name the history of our own pastors as proof.
