LUDZIDZINI – Incwala critics were kicked out of Sibaya by the masses who had gathered for the People’s Parliament yesterday.

Thulasizwe Mbuli of Lobamba Constituency learned the hard way how Swazis love their culture when he was ordered out of the cattle byre yesterday, just less than two minutes into his submission.
Mbuli had just taken to the podium when he started lambasting government for failing the nation. He said testament to his assertion was the failure by government to distinguish between Christianity and culture.
The two belief systems, according to Mbuli, clashed as local traditions and culture were evil.

After saying this, the crowd, from all sectors of the cattle byre, started shouting at him, ordering him to move away from the microphone. They said he should sit down as he didn’t know what to say.
“Our traditions and culture, mostly Incwala, are evil,” Mbuli said, much to the disgruntlement of the masses. This was followed by an unexpected public reaction, accompanied by whistles and booing, with many people shouting that they would leave the arena if he proceeded with his statements pertaining to the so called evilness of the traditions and culture practised in the country.

The public stood up and hustled for the cattle byre exit point, with some shouting; “We are leaving as you do not know what to say,” while others ruptured into boos and shouted: “You are confused, sit down!”
As gestures and a variety of sentiments discrediting his submission grew, Mbuli paused as he tried to figure out what was happening. After about 30 seconds, he tried to proceed only to be informed to leave the podium by acting Ludzidzini Governor Timothy Velabo Mtetwa, who is Chairman of the proceedings at Sibaya.

Jeers and boos followed as Mbuli was made to take his seat.
So intense was the situation to the point that the disgruntled public did not want him within the cattle byre as they odered him to leave.
His attempts to get a seat among a certain crowd failed as they continued to order him out.
He tried to look around for a spot but the people continued to show him the exit point situated at the south side of the cattle byre.
One attendee even stood up as if to hold Mbuli’s hand and lead him out of the cattle byre.
