MBABANE – The woman who wants an assisted reproduction in order to have children is alleged to have suffered about three miscarriages.

This was disclosed by her husband Dumisani Albert Dludlu who is opposing the application that his wife be granted permission to carry-out an assisted reproduction process at the Pretoria Academy Hospital, Fertility Clinic, in the Republic of South Africa.

The wife, Philisiwe Mamba now wants a sperm donor of her choice.
Dludlu, who is a pastor, says while they were still staying together with his wife, she had about three miscarriages and as such, no children were born.

“Deponent (Dludlu) admits that there are no children born of the marriage between the parties,” reads part of Dludlu’s answering papers.
He argued that Mamba should push for finality of the divorce proceedings so that she could, as an unmarried individual, exercise her constitutional right of cloning an individual, without the need for consent from anyone.

He informed the court that his religious beliefs do not allow him to accept child birth by In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF).
“As a God-given blessing, deponent believes that conceiving and child-bearing should take place naturally or miraculously,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the pastor says his wife does not need to approach the court to ensure that her shenanigans are above reproach.
Pastor Dludlu is vigorously opposing his wife’s application to undergo this process and that she be allowed to indentify a sperm donor of her choice.
