LUDZIDZINI – More job opportunities as His Majesty King Mswati III has assured the nation that the Republic of China on Taiwan would bring in more support and investors to the country and also support the country’s Vision 2022.

His Majesty was addressing the media during a press conference, which was held at Ludzidzini Royal Residence yesterday.

The media conference was on his visit to the Republic of China on Taiwan where he was attending the inauguration of the first female President, Tsai Ing-wen and his visit to Singapore.

He said this after Channel Swazi Managing Director (MD) Qhawe Khanya asked how come the relationship between Swaziland and the Republic of China on Taiwan continued to grow stronger over the years even when presidents and governments changed. The King said since 1986, the relationship between the two countries continued to grow stronger.

He said the president who led that country since 1986, including the first female President, Tai, vowed to maintain and improve the relationship between the two countries so that future generations could find it existing.

“The government of the Republic of China on Taiwan has supported the country in many projects, which include the construction of the Convention Centre and the Biotechnology Park, among others.
“The president said she was aware that there were already a number of Taiwan investors in the country and she promised to encourage more to come and invest in Swaziland.
