BULEMBU – Dominic Nxumalo the former Head teacher of St Mark’s High School is among the newly elected candidature of the Hhohho Regional Branch of SNAT.

The names of the elected candidates will be submitted during the national conference to be held in August by SNAT. The Hhohho executive was elected last night by at least 146 representatives.

Nxumalo was elected the secretary of the Board of Trustees for the region while Vusi Sibanyoni was elected the deputy president of the National Executive Committee for the Hhohho region.

The elected team will represent the region at the national level. Sam Nxumalo, the president of the SNAT Hhohho region, said the turn out for the conference was very good, adding that he was happy that most of those who won were from the schools in the Hhohho region.

“It would have been disappointing if the candidates were defeated in their own territory,” he said. He said he was confident that the Hhohho region would be well represented during the national conference in August 2016.

The meeting was well attended and full of excitement. An interesting one was when it appeared that ‘Gupta family’ is still the buzzword among teachers.
Victor ‘Mavikane’ could not resist mentioning that he was a member of the Gupta family.

Unlike the Guptas known for arriving in her own public jet, ‘Mavikane’ who arrived using a hired bus asked to be given way to pass.
Jestingly boasting, ‘Mavikane’ shouted that the Guptas should be allowed to alight first from the bus.
“The Guptas are here,” he shouted as he waved his hat.
