MOB PARADES NAKED MAN AFTER RAPE OF PREGNANT TEEN

MATSAPHA – A man accused of raping a highly pregnant teenager at Mbhuleni was stripped naked and made to parade by an angry mob, which threatened to cut off his genitals.

This, after the man had been giving a thorough thrashing by community members, who had had to chase him all over Mbhuleni before he was apprehended.

The shocking incident occurred yesterday at about 9am at a block of flats located near a busy shopping complex, a few metres from the University of Swaziland. The man had to go through the humiliating ordeal of being assaulted on his private parts and manhandled by members of the public for over 30 minutes while waiting for the police to arrive.

 According to information gathered from those involved in the matter, the man allegedly accosted the 18-year-old teen in her mother’s rented flat and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her at knife point.

He is said to have noted that she was alone in the flat when committing the offence. “I saw my sister crying hysterically while seated in our mother’s flat and when I questioned her, she revealed that she had just been raped,”  *Sibongile, a sister to the teenager, said.

She mentioned that when her sister described the alleged offender, they were quick to identify him as he had been regularly seen walking past the block of flats in the past few weeks.
After she had reported the matter to the community police, a search party was dispatched and no stone was left unturned as the man was being sought.
