MBABANE – The wait is over! Standard five results will be released tomorrow according to the Minister of Education and Training, Phineas Magagula, and Form III results will be out January 7, 2016.
The Swaziland Primary Certificate (SPC) examinations results will be published and announced by the media on Thursday.

Magagula stated that the Examinations Council of Swaziland would make a presentation to the ministry at 8am tomorrow.
“After the presentation at the Education Ministry, the Exams Council will then go to Cabinet where they will make a presentation for Cabinet which will be the same one made on the same morning about the results of the standard five pupils,” the minister stated.

Results for Form III are expected to be out by next week on January 7, 2016 according to the Minister.
Parents have been waiting anxiously for the results to know their children’s fate and they have been calling the ministry asking when they would know of their children’s results and those who have confidence in their children had a relaxed Christmas knowing that their child would obtain a good result.

It is expected that some of the outstanding schools in the primary category could repeat the feat. Some of these schools are Little Academy and St Micheal’s Primary School.
It has also been an established trend that girls top boys in the results.

Markers engaged by the Examinations Council of Swaziland (ECoS) wrapped up their duties in marking of external examinations last week.
Last year, the Standard V results were released on New Year’s Eve and the pupils had recorded an 88.34 pass rate.
Most of the SPC markers were expected to complete their task last week.

The marking of the Swaziland General Certificate in Secondary Education (SGCSE) was completed over a week ago, although the Form V results are the last to be released and it is normally done towards the end of January of the following year, which in this case, means they will be released by the end of January 2016.

ECoS Registrar Dr Edmund Mazibuko stated during an earlier interview last week, that markers who had been selected were chosen on grounds which included, among others, experience in teaching the subject to be marked and training in that subject.
He said the Exams Council had also organised workshops for the markers and that venues had been secured.
